Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of OJobs (the "Service"), operated by OJobs ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Who can use OJobs

OJobs is intended for students, freelancers, self-employed individuals, and organisations. You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service, and you're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, including your student status, university affiliation, and organisation details.

2. Accounts

You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account, including any sign-in method (such as Google) you use to access it. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.

3. Posting jobs and gigs

Organisations posting jobs, internships, or gigs are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their listings. We reserve the right to remove any listing that is fraudulent, misleading, discriminatory, or otherwise violates these Terms.

4. Applications

Students and freelancers applying to listings are responsible for the accuracy of the information and materials (including CVs and profile details) they submit. OJobs does not guarantee that any application will result in an offer or engagement.

5. Verification

We may offer verification for organisations (for example, via CAC registration details). A verification badge indicates that we've reviewed certain information provided to us — it is not a guarantee or endorsement of any organisation's conduct.

6. Payments

Where OJobs facilitates paid engagements or subscriptions, additional terms from our payment processor(s) may apply. You're responsible for any taxes or fees associated with payments you send or receive through the Service.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings or applications
  • Harass, discriminate against, or abuse other users
  • Attempt to circumvent security features (including bot protection) on the Service
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee the accuracy of any listing, application, or user-provided information, and we are not a party to any agreement between students, freelancers, and organisations.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OJobs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
