This Privacy Policy explains how OJobs ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our platform.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email, and profile details from your Google sign-in
- Profile information: university, department, faculty, organisation details, or freelancer profile data you provide
- Application materials: CVs and documents you upload when applying to listings
- Usage data: pages visited, searches performed, and interactions with the Service
- Communications: support tickets and messages sent through the Service
2. How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account
- To match students and freelancers with relevant listings
- To let organisations review applications
- To provide customer support
- To protect the Service against fraud and abuse (including bot detection)
- To send notifications relevant to your activity on the Service
3. How we share information
We share your profile and application information with organisations you apply to, as intended by the Service. We use third-party service providers to operate OJobs, including hosting (Vercel), database and file storage (Supabase), authentication (Google), bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile), and email delivery. These providers process data only as needed to provide their services to us.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data from Settings.
5. Your rights
You can access, update, or delete your profile information at any time from Settings. You may also contact us directly to request a copy of your data or ask that it be deleted.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure authentication and bot protection on sensitive actions. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's privacy
OJobs is intended for university students and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the effective date above when we do.
